How Lifetimes Living began

Lifetimes Living was formed in 2014 around a group of retirement communities built by teams who genuinely love, respect, and care for their residents, families, and the local communities they call home. Trust has always been at the centre of how our homes operate, shaping the relationships between residents, families, team members, and neighbours.

Built on trust and long-standing relationships

Our owner brought together a portfolio of 15 retirement communities, many of them smaller homes, often in rural settings, and many with more than 35 years of history in their local communities. These were places built on long standing relationships, familiar faces, and a deep sense of trust. They did not follow a one size fits all model, and that was exactly the point.

From the very beginning, Lifetimes Living was never about creating something new at the expense of what already mattered. It was about protecting the heart of each community, its culture, its people, and its connection to the neighbourhood, while strengthening it through shared knowledge, experience, and hands on support.

Small by design. Personal by nature.

Today, a very high percent of our homes are small and intimate, each serving fewer than 55 residents at full capacity. We do have three communities that are a little larger in size, but they share the very same feeling. People know one another. Teams are present, loving and engaged. Residents are treated as individuals, not room numbers. No matter the size of the building, the experience is personal, familiar, and deeply connected.

Support that works alongside our communities

Behind every Lifetimes Living residence is a dedicated support team with decades of experience across senior care, clinical leadership, operations, hospitality, culinary services, environmental services, recreation, sales and marketing, and administration. This team works closely and personally with on site leaders, not from a distance, but alongside them, to ensure high standards, strong support, and meaningful day to day experiences, while always respecting what makes each community unique.
